First Chicago Weekend

Charity Walk at Brookfield Zoo

On Saturday Dennie participated in his first charity walk for Muscular Dystrophy. It was a great event for a wonderful cause. Thank you to all of you who donated and supported us!





We even saw animals like this brown bear on the walk!









Dennie went on his first carousel ride with Auntie Valerie and Cousin Will





On Sunday Dennie got all dressed up to go to our friend Shelly's Birthday dinner. It was a great evening celebrating with good friends.



We also got to spend some time with Uncle Sam and Aunt Grace in Chicago. Dennie is excited to have one of his uncles living so close!



It was a fun and busy weekend spent with friends & family. Looking forward to many more!

Welcome to Chicago

We made it! It was quite an adventure for everyone but well worth it. Mark & Paco had a long 3 day drive but kept each other company and are both happy to be out of the car. Dennie & I flew and although I was nervous about doing it alone it could not have gone more smoothly. The flight attendant came up to us at the end and said "oh I forgot there was even a baby on this plane." He was amazing!

So now we are in Chicago and finally got to see our new house. It is beautiful and in such a great location. Today we walked to the lake from our house and it was beautiful (its only 7 blocks!) Here are some pictures from our adventure.

Our friends had a party for us at our favorite brewery. Dennie made an appearance and as you can see he had a great time. I wonder where that boy gets his love for beer? It was a wonderful party which focused on the new adventures our family is going to have. We will miss our California family and look forward to future visits and adventures to be had!

10 Months

This beautiful boy is 10 months old today! Its amazing how fast it is going and how much he is changing every day. We are going to celebrate with his Aunties this weekend. Auntie Valerie is coming to visit and we are heading to Santa Monica to meet up with Auntie Gabrielle for some good times!
