First Family Getaway

We took the boys to an indoor waterpark about an hour away for our first little family vacation. It was exactly what we needed and we all had a blast! Dennie loved the waterslides, pool, lazy river, and arcade games. The first thing he said when he woke up in the morning at the hotel was..."I go swimming." (I'm sure Jacks was thinking the same thing!)

This was hilarious...we were going to play in the arcade and check out what little D had to say...



He kept telling us, "I play da games..."

Dennie struck it big...he turned the wheel and won 1,000 tickets!!!




It was pretty crazy....Mark & I were probably more excited than Dennie and secretly hoped we had hit it big in Vegas...turns out 1,000 tickets at the arcade doesn't get you much.


It was a Rockin Good Time!



When we packed up the room to leave... Dennie said "ares my bed? ares my pijamas?" Then he ran back to the room and said "here it is...I find my house." Apparently he thought we were there to stay ;-)

The Talking Two's

Well our little two year old (26 months as of Jan 4th) is talking up a storm. I want to capture some of the words and things he is saying right now in a post. It is truly amazing how fast his language is progressing. From one day to the next his vocabulary is just growing so fast. I'll try to get a video of some of his latest and greatest soon!

Here's some of the latest adorable things Dennie has been saying....

"i wuv you" - This is usually said when we ask him to say I love you but he does spontaneously tell his brother "wuv you jacks" and he'll give him a kiss-again this is only spontaneous when towards his baby brother or his cousins

"i go upstairs, be back soon"- It is hilarious. He starts going up the stairs and tells me he'll be back soon. He also says "arriba, y abajo" when going up and down the stairs

"chago"- when trying to say Chicago. He has been asking to read the book "Goodnight Chicago" and has been saying his version of chicago since we went to the Zoo lights

"watch toy storys" and "buzz ightear"- this one I have mixed feelings about. He is now requesting to watch the movie Toy Story (or at least small parts of it). It is very cute to hear him ask for it though

"my do it" "my hold it" "my taste it" and "mine mine mine!" are big ones right now. Its pretty funny actually how much he is like his mommy was as a toddler. We have a video of my 2nd or 3rd birthday where I make everyone stop singing and do it myself. Dennie is doing the same thing! He'll say "my do it" and he sings quietly to himself :-)

6 months already!

Baby Jacks is 6 months old. Wow! Is that possible? He is really changing so much every day and is now scooting around a little bit, grabbing at everything, babbling, enjoying solid foods, and will be sitting up soon!

This makes me smile

Happy 2011! I can't believe another year has gone by. Last year was certainly an exciting year for our family...which got a little bigger and better. This year is sure to bring more fun & adventure as we are now getting into the groove of life with 2 young kids. I can't wait to see what our two beautiful boys will be doing and saying this year.
