Our vacation at the lake

We celebrated Nonna's birthday by renting a house near Lake Geneva. We had a great time together and look forward to making this an annual trip.

Fishing, Fires & more....Good times at the lake!






Loved the county fair...so much to do & so many animals to see. We saw sheep, cows, horses, pigs, and more. Dennie loved seeing all the animals and makes us look at the pictures daily since we've been back.







And after all of those adventures...Jackson has the right idea!

Jackson is 2 months old

It is hard to believe its already been 8 weeks since baby Jack came into our lives. He has changed so much in this last month.

Jackson started out smaller than his cousin Simon



but he quickly caught up and even surpassed him in size recently




He got to meet many of his loved ones including...

and Auntie Gabrielle (or as Dennie calls her "Gabelle")



He went to his second German beer festival (his first was Mayfest when he was still in the womb) This one was Octoberfest and he enjoyed seeing the sights and not just the sounds.

Jackson is smiling at us all the time and we are truly in awe of how fast he is already changing.




So much has happened this month and it can really tire a little guy out...



You are such a sweet little soul and you bring so much love into our lives. Happy 2 months baby Jacks. We love you so much!

We just got back from a wonderful week at the lake in Wisconsin. Many great stories and pictures to come soon!

Dennie & Jackson got to spend some time with their grandparents who were visiting from New York.




Dennie wanted to do everything with his buddy Sam...thanks for the apple!





The boys had a great time getting to know their grandparents better and hope they get to see them again soon!

Animals & Airplanes

This weekend we all went to the zoo & caught some of the Air & Water show in Chicago. It was a really fun day and everyone had a great time. We were also joined by Russell's parents who are in town to meet Simon. Dennie probably had the best time because he got to see so many animals for the first time. He loved looking at the fish, tigers, lions, and this giraffe behind us...




Little did we know that none of the animals could compare to seeing the jets fly through the sky for the air show....he's such a boy!

Overall it was a great day and fun was had by all...





The last plane was a little too loud for some of us...



...but not all of us!

1 month & more...

Jackson is 1 month old and getting bigger every day. He is so strong and is lifting his head up well and wiggling like a little worm. He'll be rolling around in no time! After all he has his big brother to keep up with.
